Using the Scheduler

To enable a scheduler with the fullcast.io Managed Package, follow the instructions below:

Create a Scheduler

  1. Log into your Salesforce instance, and click on the App Launcher.
  2. In the Search box, type in fullcast.io. Under All Apps, you'll see an icon for the Fullcast.io Managed App. Click this icon.
  3. Click More on the Navigation Bar and select Schedulers.
  4. Click New.
  5. Enter the Details of your scheduler, following the general guidelines/definitions below:
  • Scheduler Name: Enter the Name of Scheduler here.
  • Object Name: Enter the Object where the Spark Field and the Filter Field are located.
  • Spark Field: This is the API name of the field that the Spark Field Value should get stamped in.
  • Spark Field Value: Value to be stamped in a text field. This stamps the Date Time with the text in this field.
  • Batch Size: This is the number of records being processed, and could be anywhere from 1-200. If you're running heavy processes on certain objects, keep the batch size very small (5-10) and vice versa.
  • Enabled: Check this box field to enable the Scheduler.
  • Frequency (in minutes): This is how often the scheduler will run, choose your desired frequency.
  • Start Time: When to start the scheduler.
  • End Time: When to end the scheduler.
  1. Enter the Filter Criteria of your scheduler, following the general guidelines/definitions below:
  • Filter Field: This would be the Field that the Scheduler looks at to pull only the records that need to be sparked.
  • Filter Operator: Select an operator from the drop-down list: Equal To, Not Equal To, Contain, etc.
  • Filter Field Value: This would be the Value in the Filter Field that the scheduler looks at to filter records for spark.

Enabling the Scheduler

  1. Check the Enabled checkbox in step 5 from the above section.
  2. Go to the Scheduler main menu, and select the All List view.
  3. Select the Scheduler you want to start, then select Start Scheduler in the top right corner.

Aborting the Scheduler

  1. Check the Enabled checkbox in step 5 from the first section to uncheck it.
  2. Go to the Scheduler main menu, and select the All List view.
  3. Select the Scheduler you want to start, then select Abort Scheduler in the top right corner.
