Organizing Products

Products are a critical component of your go-to-market strategy. Product Managers must align their product strategy with the sales, marketing, and customer success execution to ultimately drive success for the company. The Products Designer is the product manager's view of the go-to-market strategy. The products designer can be used to do the following:

  1. Organize products into categories or families
  2. Review performance from a product or product family perspective.
  3. Set Targets for the various products
  4. Setup coverage of product specialists and other support resources who assist sales and the multiple roles associated with the product, e.g., pricing specialists, etc.
  5. Understand which segments and markets are not performing well
  6. And now with SaaS companies, usage and adoption of the product is a key to effective product management
