Managing Users

In the "Users" tab, fullcast.io users with administrator privileges can add and edit the people who have access to the platform, as well as their privileges. You can filter users based on whether they are active, suspended, or de-activated.

Navigating to the Users Tab

  1. Click your Profile icon in the top right corner of your screen to access the Settings Menu.
  2. Select Users.

Adding New Users

  1. To add a new user, click Add New.
  2. Select a team member from the People drop-down list to add as a user.
  3. Fill out Email, Password, and Name information.
  4. Click Save when finished.

Editing Users

  1. Click on the [...] button on the User profile you'd like to edit.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Edit.
  3. You are now at the Update User menu. Edit the Name details, access level, or enable/disable multifactor authentication for the user.
  4. Click Save when finished.

Changing User Status

To activate, deactivate, or suspend a user:

  1. Click on the [...] button on the User profile you'd like to edit.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Change Status.
  3. A pop-up menu will appear. From the drop-down list, select the status you'd like to assign the user. (E.g. Activate, Deactivate, Suspend)
  4. Click Confirm.

Using Multifactor Authentication

Enabling MFA

To enable MFA for a user,

  1. Click on the [...] menu button on the User you'd like to enable MFA for.
  2. From the drop down menu, select Enable Multifactor.

Setting up MFA

  1. Once you've enabled MFA, the next time the user logs in they will be prompted to set up MFA from the following screen:
  1. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app like Lastpass Authenticator (recommended) or Google Authenticator on your mobile device.
  2. The passcode generator screen appears and generates passcodes to use when prompted for MFA. Enter the Authentication code in the box under the QR code, and click Verify.
  3. After this initial setup, the user will be able to log in using their password credentials and verify using the authentication code given by the authenticator app of choice.

Disabling MFA

To disable MFA for a user,

  1. Click on the [...] menu button on the User you'd like to enable MFA for.
  2. From the drop down menu, select Disable Multifactor.

Enable/Disable MFA While Editing a User

You can also enable or disable MFA for a user while adding a new user as well as from the edit screen by checking or un-checking the checkbox labeled "Multifactor Authentication".

Resetting MFA

To reset MFA for a user,

  1. Click on the [...] menu button on the User you'd like to enable MFA for.
  2. From the drop down menu, select Reset Multifactor.
  3. Follow the steps from Setting up MFA to reset.

Deleting Users

Note that in order to delete a user, the profile must already be deactivated. To delete a user:

  1. Click on the [...] button on the User profile you'd like to edit.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Delete.
  3. Acknowledge the warning and type "DELETE" in the text box.
  4. Click Confirm to complete the action.
