Editing Field Settings

As a part of the onboarding process, your GrowthOps Business Partner will work with you to create and import fields by which you want to store your data.

Navigating the Field Settings Tab

Manually edit aspects of your fields by following the steps below:

  1. Go the Settings Menu by clicking on your profile in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click Field Settings.
  3. Select an Entity from the drop-down list to access a list of corresponding fields. (E.g., Accounts, Opportunities, etc.)
  1. You can only edit the following attributes with regards to Fields:
  • Label: The label that the field will have in the Details Grid
  • Aggregation: How the field aggregates in the system (e.g. "Count" or "Sum")
  • Header Filter: Whether the field filters in the Details Grid
  • Hierarchy: Whether the field can be used in the Hierarchy Builder
  • Format: Format type this field is using.
  • Conditional Formatting: Custom formatting for fields as they show up in the Details Grid - adjust text color, background color using CSS.
  1. Click Save when finished.

Using Conditional Formatting

In the Field Settings menu, users can provide specific criteria to format cells as they show up in the Grid. Here you can specify the text color and the background color for a particular field value in the Conditional column in the Field Settings. In addition, you can specify the Format type for a particular field as they show up in the Details Grid.

Specifying Color Attributes for a Field

To format certain cells in the Field Settings, use the following steps:

  1. Go the Settings Menu by clicking on your profile in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click Field Settings.
  3. Select an Entity from the drop-down list to access a list of corresponding fields. (E.g., Accounts, Opportunities, etc.)
  4. Find the field for which you'd like to enable conditional formatting. If you don't see the field you're looking for, contact your Business Partner to set up the appropriate field in Fullcast.
  5. Head over to the Conditional column on the far right of your screen for that field.
  6. Here, select the operator by which you'd like to set your condition. The operators supported include: ==, >,<, >=, <=, contains, in, starts with, not starts with, is empty, is not empty.
  7. Once you've selected the operator, you'll be prompted to fill in a value that the operator will take an action against. Fill in the value in the next box below the operator. Note: no special characters needed, enter the value in quotations.
  8. Now that the condition is set, edit the text and background color attributes in the following formats using inline CSS:

  1. Click Save at the top of the Field Settings screen to save your changes.

Specifying Format Types for a Field

To specify the format type for a particular field as they show up in the Details Grid:

  1. Go the Settings Menu by clicking on your profile in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click Field Settings.
  3. Select an Entity from the drop-down list to access a list of corresponding fields. (E.g., Accounts, Opportunities, etc.)
  4. Find the field for which you'd like to edit the format type. If you don't see the field you're looking for, contact your Business Partner to set up the appropriate field in Fullcast.
  5. Head over to the Format column on the far right of the screen for the field you'd like to edit.
  6. Enter the format type you'd like to see for that field. Supported format types include:

Numeric Formats

"fixedPoint" - 200.22 → 200
"percent" - 0.2 → 20%
"decimal" - 2000.11 → 2000
"exponential" - 2 000 → 2E+3
"thousands" - 2 000.11 → 2K
"millions" - 2 000 000.11 → 2M
"billions" - 2 000 000 000.11 → 2B
"trillions" - 2 000 000 000 000 → 2T
"largeNumber" - uses "thousands", "millions", "billions", "trillions"* format depending on the actual value

Combining Formats

"FixedPoint", "decimal" or "currency" formats can be combined with the "largeNumber", "thousands", "millions", "billions" or "trillions" format using a space separator, e.g., "fixedPoint millions".

  1. Click Save at the top of the Field Settings screen to save your changes.
