Configuring Contact Routing in Salesforce

Configuring Duplicate Rules

  1. Go to Setup.
  2. Type Duplicate Rules in the Quick Search bar and select it. It comes under Administer/Data Management/Duplicate Management.
  3. Select Standard Contact Duplicate Rule. 
  4. The status of the checkbox of the Active field should be checked; then only the Dealing with Duplicates section in Contact Routing is going to work. 
  5. In the Mapped link, fill up all the fields if the duplicate match percentage is need to be 100%. For a 50% match, at least 50% of these fields should be filled. For more details on field mapping in Salesforce, please click here.
